My name is Brendan Weerts. I'm a hard-working dedicated student with a passion for digital media, specifically video. Growing up in rural Indiana, I worked a manual labor job every summer since I was a young teen which taught me how to work hard and stick with a project. I enjoyed working hard, but I felt like I could use my God-given skills in a better way.

So at the moment, I am attending Purdue University and majoring in Film and Video Production, minoring in Computer and Information Technology, and pursuing an Entrepreneurship Certificate. Some of my favorite experiences at Purdue have been working for BTN Student U helping live-stream Purdue Sporting Events. I have run camera, operated graphics, and manned replay for Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Baseball and Wrestling. I also have worked on the in-house video board for Football and Basketball.

Outside of the school year, I had the privilege of doing a number of internships where I edited countless videos including companion pieces to a large docuseries for Our Daily Bread, fundraising campaign videos for United Way, and training and promotional videos for RLI Insurance. As I have time, I enjoy working on freelance and personal projects as well. Through these experiences I have edited countless videos, created social media posts, designed simple graphics, turned still photos into animations, and re-designed several websites.

When I'm not doing school or work, I love to enjoy the great outdoors. You can often find me playing backyard sports with friends, running/hiking, or simply chilling outside on a nice day. If I'm not outside, you might find me with a good book, playing guitar or piano, researching a completely random topic, or sleeping. I stay busy, but I am always on the lookout for new projects and adventures to be involved in!
